Sable agouti color is a sepia brown color that lightens on the body with a white ticking throughout. It is created by each individual hair having bands of color. The base color is various shades of brown and the tip color is white. These banded hairs cover the head, back, and sides, giving these areas a ticked appearance. The phaeomelanin is completely removed from the coat. The eumelanin is completely removed from the underbelly, inner legs, chin, and at times, a line along the chin toward the ears, and an area around the ears leaving these areas white.
